Push Up Challenge!

The push-up is one of the most well known upper body exercises. It is a great way to develop upper body and core strength.

However, a recent study by Harvard University showed that it can provide more value than just strength!

The study used male firefighters as subjects. The study found that the risk of heart attack and stroke was reduced by 96% in those who could do 40 or more push-ups, which was followed over a 10 year period.

At the Injury rehab centre we love helping people out who are looking to get started on a new exercise regime. We can assess a very simple exercise like the push-up and measure exactly how much force and power is going through each arm by using the advance AxIT force plates. This way you know if you're setting yourself up for success or some correcting exercises will be needed in your program so you achieve your goals.
