Lachlan is an Osteopath as well as a personal trainer. He has completed a double degree at RMIT (Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Applied Science – Osteopathy), along with a Diploma of Fitness from Victoria University in 2011. In conjunction with these certifications, he has also completed his level 1 Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) along with Level 1 dry needling. He is also currently completing his degree in Exercise Science at Victoria University to further his education and rehabilitation knowledge. Whilst completing his studies in 2012/13 Lachlan worked at Coburg VFL assisting with player rehabilitation as well as using his knowledge in exercise to aid with the strength and conditioning programs. Soon after that, he moved on to PEGS FC to become the head trainer, in this role he as able to manage players’ injuries and provide rehabilitation strategies so that the players could return to performance as soon as possible. Lachlan also tutors at RMIT University into the anatomy courses run for various cohorts and has been doing so for the past 4 years.
Lachlan is a firm believer in using movement alongside his Osteopathic techniques (Soft tissue massage, dry needling, stretching as well as the use of tape) to get the best results in his patients. Lachlan’s background and treatment strategies have helped him get results with injuries such as rotator cuff issues, knee instability/pain, lower back pain, various tendinopathies’ as well as ankle sprains and neck pain. Lachlan’s main interests are in knee injuries and how the combination of Osteopathy and exercise can help get an individual from being in pain all the way to returning to a high level of performance.
Lachlan enjoys spending time at the gym to stay fit and healthy, but also enjoys playing tennis and basketball with friends as well as going to watch his beloved Richmond in the AFL.
