Alex is a Physiotherapist from the United States. He completed a four-year Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Health & Human Performance at Texas A&M University – Commerce where he competed as a NCAA Division II Track & Field athlete specializing in long distance events. Alex went on to obtain a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh where he gained clinical experience from the UPMC Sports Medicine Center working with both professional and amateur athletes as they returned to sport from concussion and orthopedic injuries.
Alex has a keen interest in ACL rehabilitation and running injuries including tendon injuries, ITB syndrome, and shin splints. Alex is currently involved in research at La Trobe University examining the impact that ACL reconstructions have on individuals’ sport participation and function.
Alex has recently moved to Australia from the United States and is settling into live in Melbourne. He continues to enjoy running and is slowly but surely adjusting to the metric system.
